Born in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, a small town close to the Austrian border. Due to a fortunate turn of events I moved to Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, at the age of 4. I was brought up by my family, by my friends and their families, by my neighbors and teachers and street thugs and all the other beautiful people I encountered while growing up. Spent the war and the siege of Sarajevo sharpening survival skills. I moved to Montreal, Canada in 1999 where I worked as an engineer in aerospace industry, until I finally gave up my promising engineering career, bid farewell to the corporate world and became a photographer, though I have been one, secretly, all of my life.

Send me a letter or a postcard, if you still remember how to do that, and I might send you back a photographic print. Call me Veba.
